After nearly two decades this Pow Wow has become an established tradition in the Pacific Northwest. People from many tribes also from our own and surrounding communities gather to share a time of celebration and culture, offering a unique opportunity for intertribal relationships, as well as education for non-tribal attendees. The drumming, singing, dancing and traditional regalia create a culturally rich experience for all who come to this Pow Wow. The intertribal activities create cohesion between people of many diffrent nations, strengthening our bonds with our brothers and sisters.
This location has a rich history that dates back thousands of years. The Spokane Falls were ancestral fishing and trading grounds for many of the surrounding tribes. The falls were abundent with salmon during the annual spawning runs. Many diffrent tribes gathered here along the banks of the Spokane River to harvest the salmon, their lifeline of survival.
